As part of the University of Tennessee Medical Center’s Brain and Spine Institute, the Cole Neuroscience Center focuses on research, education and services for the management of several neurological disorders. The center manages special programs for numerous disorders of the nervous system, including:
• Parkinson’s Disease
• Alzheimer’s Disease
• Epilepsy
• Multiple sclerosis
The center provides diagnostic and treatment services such as neurodiagnostics, drug therapy, neuroradiology, research and rehabilitation.
Dr. John Dougherty, developer of both the ALZselftest and the widely used paper version of the test, is the center's medical director.
